How Do I Create an Account?

You can create an account by choosing to create a password during the checkout process. This will save you from entering your details every time you place an order. You can also create an account by going to My Account > Register at the top right corner of the screen.

Have I Got an Account?

If you have shopped online with us since May 2019 then you will have been given the option at the checkout to either create an account with us or to complete your order as a guest. If you created a password then you have an account with us.

If you have forgotten your password then go to the log-in page and click ‘Forgot Password’ to reset it.

If you created an account with us before May 2019 then unfortunately your account will have been permanently deleted during a planned website upgrade. Your personal information, including card details, addresses and order history will also have been deleted.

Do I Need an Account to Shop with

No - you can shop as a guest. You can choose to create an account so that we remember your details for next time, and you can track your order.

Why Should I Create an Account?

By creating an account you'll be able to save your details to make tracking your orders and placing more orders in the future much quicker and easier. With an account you can:

  • Checkout quickly
  • Track your order
  • Request to cancel an order
  • Review your order history
  • Manage your email newsletter preferences

It's really easy to create an account. Just add a password on the confirmation page when you checkout or go to My Account.

If I Create an Account, Can I View Orders I Made Before I Created an Account?

No - you can only view the order you just placed (if you create an account when you check out) and any subsequent orders.

How Do I Update my Details?

Once you've created an online account with WHSmith you can see or update your personal details at any time by going to My Account.

In My Details you can change your name, address and contact details.

In My Security you can change your password.

In your Address Book you can add an address and set a preferred delivery and billing addresses - we will always offer these addresses first when you checkout.

You only add payment cards in our checkout, but you can delete cards from your account in Payment Details.

How Do I Track my Orders?

If you have created an account during or previous to placing your order then you’ll be able to track it by going to My Account, and then Track Your Order. You will need to enter your Order Number, email address and billing postcode.

How Do I Change my Newsletter Preferences?

Our emails are a great way to keep up to date with the latest WHSmith offers and news. You don't need to have an account to sign up.

To unsubscribe from WHSmith emails, click the unsubscribe link in an email or Contact our Customer Services team.

I've Forgotten my Password, What Do I Do?

Visit the My Account page and then click the 'Forgot Password' link.

We'll email you a link to a page on which you can create a new password

This is secure, as your email address is unique to you and we only send links to create new passwords to the email address you registered with.

What Happened to my Account from the Previous WHSmith Website?

For customers who registered with our previous website (prior to May 2019) we have been unable to transfer your account to our new website, and you will need to create a new account.
