Richard's Review:
You’re either a cat person, or you’re not. If not, that doesn’t necessarily mean you prefer dogs. Maybe you’re indifferent to both species. But cat people definitely belong in a particular (forgive the slight pun here) category. They enjoy their pet’s magnificent, almost insolent independence, in a way dog people don’t.
So to Mia and Pigeon. Mia is a good wife to husband Tristan, a genuinely loving and caring step-mum to his kids by his last marriage, and very good at her job. But it quickly becomes apparent to us that the number one relationship in her life is with Pigeon – her beloved, elderly, cat. (Pigeon is 16. That’s ancient, in cat chronology). For Mia, Pigeon takes precedence over pretty much everything – including sleeping with Tristan.
